The Bucks County Department of Health recorded violations at 12 bars and restaurants in Newtown during the first half of March.

NEWTOWN, PA — The Bucks County Department of Health recorded violations at 12 bars and restaurants in Newtown during the first half of March.

Here's what health inspectors found:

Acqua E Farina, 50 Richboro Rd, 2 violations: Raw time/temperature control for safety products are being stored directly over ready to eat foods; door to the food prep area was propped open upon arrival (doors must be closed to prevent the entrance of vectors)

Clubhouse Bar & Pizza 501 S. State St, 4 violations: Observed containers stacked directly on top of food in the pizza lowboy; deli meats and other ready to eat time/temperature control for safety foods are not being date marked as required; observed food workers cigarettes and cellphone on the food prep table; ice scooper was stored on top of the ice machine (in-use utensils must be stored in a clean and dry container.)

Duck Sauce, 127 S. State St., 5 violations: Observed food worker washing a rag in the hand sink. This is not approved. Hand sinks must only be used for hand washing; raw time/temperature control for safety products are being stored directly over ready to eat foods; time log was not provided for the sushi rice; Observed bowls and containers stored on or in food. This is not approved. Wares cannot be stored with food. Scoopers must have handles and the handles cannot touch the food product; hood above cookline is accumulating grease

Dutch Country Salads & Desserts, 2150 S. Eagle Rd, 2 violations: Raw time/temperature control for safety products are being stored directly over ready to eat foods; time/temperature control for safety food must be cold held at or below 41ºF. Display case is not maintaining foods at a safe temperature.

Factory Donuts, 2828 S. Eagle Rd, 1 violation: Half and half was stored in the ice machine. This is not approved. The half and half container contaminates the edible ice.

Green Parrot Restaurant, Pub & Patio, 240 N. Sycamore St., 9 violations: Employee observed placing raw burger on grill then returning to work, touching toasted bread for sandwich, without removing gloves, washing, and putting clean gloves on; employee observed cutting tomatoes, a ready-to-eat (RTE) food, with bare hands; handsinks in bar are inaccessible. Handsinks must be accessible and adequately supplied at all times; ice machine interior, particularly upper portion and baffle, must immediately be emptied, cleaned, and sanitized as they are showing signs of mold-like accumulation; food in the hot holding unit is/are not at safe temperature; Mahi fish in reduced oxygen packaging was thawed. Cut package before thawing to introduce oxygen.; soiled cloths observed on food prep surface; wet-stacking of cups and wares observed; dumpster lids open

Guru's Indian Cuisine, 203 N. Sycamore St., 3 violations: Observed foodworker wash utensils in the hand sink. This is not approved. Hand sinks may only be used for hand washing; Observed food worker store pot lid on the floor; observed napkins stored with food in the prep units.

Klinghoffer Produce & Juices, 2150 S. Eagle Rd, 2 violations: Observed utensils in the handsink basin; cold holds are set up improperly. Food must be fully submerged in ice to maintain a safe temperature.

La Stalla, 18 Swamp Road, 4 violations: Observed food worker hand raw meat and continue to prepare food without removing contaminated gloves and washing their hands; observed raw meat stored over ready to eat and cooked foods throughout refrigeration units; butter was an unsafe temperature; observed a rag on the cutting board.

La Stalla Market, 200 N. Sycamore St., 2 violations: Raw time/temperature control for safety products are being stored directly over ready to eat foods; observed a utensils stored on a shelf in the walk-in

Oishi Restaurant, 2808 S. Eagle Rd, 1 violation: No certified food safety manager on duty

Yummi Sushi, 48 W. Rd, 1 violation: Observed container stacked on top of ginger in the prep top wells
