Newtown Township Offering Discounted Ski Tickets

Do you love to ski but wish it was more affordable?

You're in luck: Newtown Township is offering discount ski tickets to several area resorts. The discounted tickets for the 2016-2017 season are available for the following ski resorts: Bear Creek, Jack Frost/Big Boulder, Blue Mountain, Elk Mountain, Montage Mountain and Shawnee.

Tickets must be purchased in person at the Newtown Township Parks and Recreation office. Call the office (215-968-2800, x239) ahead of time to confirm availability. Check and credit cards are accepted as payment, no refunds are offered once the tickets are purchased.

Here are the ticket prices, according to Newtown Township:

• Bear Creek - Weekday $34, Weekend/Holiday $62, Night (4-10pm) $26
• Jack Frost/Big Boulder - Midweek $38, Weekend/Holiday $49; Youth Midweek (ages 7-18) $33, Youth Weekend/Holiday $40, Night (3pm-close, BB only) $27
• Blue Mountain - Weekday $50, Weekend/Holiday $63, Night $33
• Elk Mountain - Midweek $52, Weekend/Holiday $62
• Montage Mountain - Adult, Thu-Sun $52, Youth (ages 6-18) Thu-Sun $43, 3 hour tubing Fri-Sun/Holiday $22
• Shawnee Mountain - (open to close) Adult any day $48, Youth any day $38, Package $75 (includes lift, rental and beginner lesson)
