Newtown Woman Is 'Best Nurse Ever': Local Hero Recognized

NEWTOWN, PA — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

Hero's job: Home care nurse

Reason for recognition: Marvene has been a dedicated nurse for almost 50 years and is still giving attentive, loving care to her patients in the home care setting. She works endlessly all day to see her patients doing wound care, hospice care, general assessment visits.

One thing to know: The absolute BEST Nurse I've ever had the pleasure of knowing!
