"BC Discoveries is a super friendly and comfortable environment. I am a current senior at BC Discoveries Dance Company and I absolutely love it. All of the staff have kept the studio clean and in great condition as we have suffered through COVID. They put their entire life into making the studio a safe happy environment even if we have to dance over technology. One example is, during the Spring, the staff delivered goodie bags to every student at the studio as a way of cheering the kids up. Additionally, we couldn't have a normal recital so the staff took it into their own hands and produced a fantastic outdoor performance. I couldn't be more thankful to have such an amazing support system and a forever home. BC Discoveries is fantastic and I couldn't ask for any better!" - Shayna F.
"Newtown Hardware deserves recognition for many reasons. First and foremost, the staff are the best. They are always ready to say hello and welcome you to the store. They are very helpful and knowledgeable about the products they sell. In addition to the many hardware/home improvement items they sell, the store is also stocked with hometown gear such as t-shirts and hats. There are homemade cookies, and lovely gift items available. They even have shelves of vintage toys for the current younger generation to enjoy. The store also sells items to support "A Love For Life " organization. I cannot say enough about this store. It is my all-time hometown favorite, as it has been for so many others for a century or more." - Mary P.
"Michael, Susan, and their team from Learning Express did a fantastic job navigating through this pandemic. So many celebrations were canceled during the shut down. Learning Express offered easy ways to shop either online or with personalized shopping over the phone. They provided curbside pick ups or free delivery. The gifts are wrapped upon request. Their ability to think outside of the box, allowed many to provide joy to children celebrating birthdays, graduation, or milestones during a time of unknown. Learning Express has unique gift items for children of all ages. Their staff is friendly and extremely helpful in providing suggestions in finding the perfect items." - Colleen D.
"Excellent repair service. Owner has knowledge of all bikes and biking." - Maryjane H.
Pennsylvania School of the Performing Arts
"The house lights may have dimmed on Broadway, but Terri Garcia Lee turned them up at PSPA. During quarantine, Ms. Terri found a home for a long list of Broadway performers. Dancers and actors from many of the current Broadway shows shared their talents with the PSPA students via Zoom classes. My daughter was so excited to not only be able to continue her classes but couldn’t believe she would be taught by and receive advice from the worlds masters! We are so grateful to be a member of the PSPA family. It truly is a home away from home where the arts continue to thrive!" - Kimberly T.
"They have been such a positive light during the pandemic by supporting local businesses. Their magazine and social media are always fun and positive." - Jason F.
"Customer Service is impeccable and the office has always been exceptionally clean and sanitized even before the pandemic. They have kept their customers/patients fully informed during this pandemic. Like many people during this pandemic, several family members and acquaintances overdid things. Thankfully, Dr. Jamie Oatman fit them and me into her limited scheduling immediately. If it wasn't for Dr. Jamie, I still would not be able to lift my arm." - Colleen R.
"We had our kitchen updated using Sycamore Kitchens & More. Bruce, the owner was so helpful. He and his designer made the process easy and enjoyable! We’d put it off far too long thinking it would be a nightmare (we’d heard all the stories) but it was anything but. His suggestions were awesome and practical as well. The quality of the workman and products was wonderful and affordable. Everything was finished on time and exactly as planned. If you are considering a renovation...this is the place to go!" - Carol M.
"Their chocolate is the best chocolate I have ever tasted. Friendly & wonderful service." - Janet W.
Spirit in Motion Ballet Theatre
"I am nominating the studio because the owner always goes above and beyond for her dancers and her community. Throughout the COVID struggle, she has provided the most up to date and progressive zoom classes in addition to the small classes she has maintained in her studio. Her dancers are among the best in the state not just in their craft but also in their demeanor and attitudes towards life. The owner, Terri Lee-Garcia, teaches more than dance, she teaches life skills. She provides a safe atmosphere and each child is worked with and taught with the highest level of training." - Lori F.
