Patch, Patch, Patch, I Love Patch

A note of appreciation and special thanks

When one moves to a new area, how do they find out about important events, things to do, services, etc? You could ask neighbors, go door-to-door (super creepy), or look for flyers, but these days, these methods are both not needed and relatively ineffective. What better way than connect with your local Patch? Now, I know that I am a newer Patch poster, but I am doing so because of how much I believe in it as a resource.

Quick vignette: When my family and I moved to Newtown, we immediately connected with Patch, and found out about so many great things. From local restaurants, to a special movie showing of "Polar Express" at the Newtown Theater, to township programs, to local breaking news, Patch has it all. And with this, goes the person largely responsible for this: Our local editor.

Special shout-out and a hearty thanks to Kara Seymour, our local Patch editor. She is an experienced journalist and has a true pulse on the community. I have been reading her for a bit now, and sincerely thank her for keeping us all in the know! One message, one heart, ONE NEWTOWN!
