Race for Christina 5K Race Set for Mother's Day at Tyler State Park
Catherine Logan started race in honor of sister to raise awareness of Friedreich's Ataxia

This year’s Race for Christina 5K, which helps raise awareness of Friedreich’s Ataxia, will be held on Mother’s Day, May 10 at Tyler State Park in Newtown
The fundraising event began three years ago by Catherine Logan in honor of her sister, Christina, who was diagnosed with the neuromuscular disease that affects coordination and balance.
The event has grown over the past two years, and organizers have a goal of exceeding $15 thousand this year. In honor of Mother’s Day all women over 18-years-old will receive carnations, as they cross the finish line.
