UPPER MAKEFIELD, PA — Hundreds of Upper Makefield residents are petitioning for safety improvements along the portion of Rt. 532 that was the scene of a school bus crash involving Council Rock students earlier this month.

The Feb. 19 crash occurred at curve at Rt. 532 and Dolington Road. The crash, which is under investigation by the Bucks County District Attorney's office, injured two students and the driver of the other vehicle, police said.

Concerns about the curve are not new. At the time of the crash, Upper Makefield Police addressed the situation, saying: "We know many of you have concerns about this intersection. In regards to this accident, the intersection was not the issue."
