EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA — Forecasters are monitoring the chance for severe storms Wednesday afternoon and evening.
The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook, saying some of the storms could be severe and come with damaging winds.
The storms are most likely to come through the region starting at 2 p.m. and going through the evening. They'll be moving west to east.

Damaging wind gusts of up to 60 mph are possible, as well as small hail. Heavy rain could lead to flash flooding.

New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 9 p.m. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds and heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 74. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New precipitation amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
Thursday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 3 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 91. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
