Friday, March 20

At approximately 10:20 p.m., police were dispatched to a home on Azalea Circle for a report of a burglary that occurred while the residents were not there. The residents were out between 7:40-10:10 p.m. The victim reported that he returned home to find his rear door shattered and the bedrooms had been rummaged through. The victim told police that several items were missing. The investigation has been turned over to detectives.

Saturday, March 21

Patrols responded to a vacant house on Susanna Way around 12:30 p.m. for a report of a damaged sliding door. Officers checked the interior, but there was very little left in the residence. A detective responded to assist officers with the scene and to conduct the follow-up investigation. Police contacted the mortgage holder to advise them of the damage and the need to have the door repaired.

A resident of Newtown Township contacted police at approximately 4:30 p.m. to report fraudulent activity on her credit cards and bank account. The accounts have been closed.



Monday, March 23

Shortly after 8 a.m., a contractor reported that 10 boxes of hardwood flooring had been stolen from a construction site on Rittenhouse Circle at some point over the weekend. No value of the flooring was provided.

A resident reported that he received a check in the amount of $390,000 along with a letter instructing him to deposit the check and return $950,000 to the sender. The man recognized the scam and turned all the documents over to police.

A resident of Wrightstown Township came to police headquarters shortly before 2 p.m. to report that he was alerted that someone attempted to make a $199 purchase using his credit card information. The transaction was denied. The victim canceled the card and a new card was issued.



Wednesday, March 25

A resident of Newtown Township came to police headquarters to report that his bank account was compromised after she received a phone call from a person who identified himself as a representative of Microsoft Corporation on March 24. The caller told the woman that her computer had several problems and if she logged on a Web site called “TEAM VIEWER” he could repair the problems. At some point she was asked for her bank account information which she supplied. After terminating the call, the woman checked her bank account and discovered that $500 along with a processing fee had been removed from her account. Additional attempts to gain access to the funds were denied.

At approximately 4:30 p.m. police responded to Buttercup Lane for a report of criminal mischief to the residence. Upon the officer’s arrival, he spoke to the homeowner and she showed him two windows that were damaged caused by what appeared to be BB’s. The value of the damage is unknown at this time.
