Sweet Video Captures Local Girl's Daddy-Daughter Dance Prep
This sweet video of a Sol Feinstone kindergartener preparing for her first daddy-daughter dance may bring you to tears.

NEWTOWN, PA — It was a special weekend for one local Sol Feinstone Elementary School student and her family.
Kindergartener Alana Christ attended her first daddy-daughter dance and her mother, Jennifer Herbst, documented the event in a heartwarming video that may bring you to tears.
Jennifer tells Patch the occasion was extra special for the family, because her daughter as an infant overcame some pretty serious health issues. Alana was premature, arriving a month and a half early, her mother says.

As a premature infant, she was diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis in her veins leading to her kidneys, in addition to the normal premie issues. She spent her first month of her life at CHOP.
"The doctors had warned us that although they had gotten the situation under control most likely the clots would remain but would not get any worse with daily shots of blood thinners. Although she did lose function of one kidney, today she is 100 percent medicine free and her blood clots completely went away," her mother said.

She is one of three children and described by her mom as the "sweetest, kindest little soul."
The sweet video of Alana's big night with her dad, Matt, is shared below. Here is a photo Jennifer shared of baby Alana with her dad.

It's a "wonderful feeling seeing how far she has come and how their relationship has grown," her mom said, adding "I shot the video and can’t wait to make her watch it on her wedding day!"
