Drink Beer And Adopt A Pet

The Newtown Brewing Company is hosting EASEL Animal Rescue as they set up a pet adoption event at the brewery. They will be bringing over dogs and cats looking for their forever home. If you cannot adopt, they still need help with donations of cat and dog food, both wet and dry.

Tour The Historic James-Lorah Memorial Home

Closed during the pandemic, tours of the historic James-Lorah Memorial Home in Doylestown have resumed with a celebration of the 165th birthday of Henry Chapman Mercer. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the 17-room Victorian mansion is the birthplace of Henry Mercer. It was built by Henry's grandfather, Judge Henry Chapman, in 1844 and provides a rare look at the period when the Civil War raged and telephone, telegraph, train and gas lighting arrived in the rapidly modernizing hamlet of Doylestown.
