Upper Makefield Police Say Email Scam Is Targeting Residents

UPPER MAKEFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Upper Makefield Township Police Department is receiving reports of an email scam that has been targeting residents.

The email comes from someone purporting to be a know friend or associate requesting assistance in purchasing gift cards for a friend or relative's birthday or other special occasion.

Police are reminding residents who receive such an email requesting gift cards as a form of payment that it is likely a scam.
