Why Do We Only Really Live 3 Seasons Out of the Year?

Change Your Life By Changing Your Mindset

Walking the dog in the cold is usually not much fun. The bitter cold that has been our reality lately has not been as much fun either; however, fun is really a mindset, isn't it? What if we learned how to change our mindsets and outlooks about the cold in a way that facilitated our happiness? I mean, so many of us truly only live for 3 of the 4 seasons, with the winter months spent inside, unhappy, and longing for the warm days that do not feel so near. Let's get to living all year around! This is one person's advice for doing so (as I have learned).

1. Instead of viewing the winter as miserable think of some good things about it

  • being able to see into the forests, how pretty the snow looks, the crisp and clean air

2. Think about things you do outside in the spring/summer/fall and figure out how to do them in the winter:

  • AND SO MUCH MORE

3. But How Do We Do All of This If It's Really Cold Out

  • Make sure to get the proper gear: a warm outfit, coat, hat, scarf, and gloves, especially warm socks
  • Change your thoughts from "this cold is miserable" to "this is an opportunity to get out and live"
  • Bundle up, have fun, and get to living!
