Appearances by Penguins Forwards Highlight Reopening of Wexford Giant Eagle
The newly remodeled store on McKnight Road features a beer selection, an expanded prepared-food section and other upgrades, according to Giant Eagle officials

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Joe Vitale will appear and visit with fans from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Giant Eagle grocery in Wexford as part of activities planned for the reopening of the newly remodeled store.
Forward Pascal Dupuis also will appear from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, at the store at 9805 McKnight Road. Additional activities, featuring musicians, clowns and other attractions, will be scheduled for customers in upcoming weeks, store officials said in a statement.
Customers now will be permitted to purchase two six-packs of beer for carry-out or buy two beers to drink with an in-store meal, Giant Eagle officials said. The store also has been expanded to add new departments, features and services.

Those additions include:
- An expanded prepared foods section with a sub shop, hot-food bar and salad bar
- A cheese shop offering artisan, local and imported cheeses
- A selection of more than 400 domestic and imported beers
- A new health, beauty and wellness department carrying natural and organic cosmetics, vitamins, supplements, and other products.
The store also has upgraded its pharmacy, its produce, meat and seafood departments, and its Eagle’s Nest children’s activity center, store officials said.
