Former Cure Owner Opening New Casual Eatery In McCandless

McCANDLESS, PA - Nationally renowned restaurateur and chef Justin Severino is bringing his culinary talents to a small strip mall on the edge of North Park. Severino, who recently closed Cure in Lawrenceville, is transforming the former Golden Land at 9559 Babcock Boulevard into a California-inspired offerings.
The new eatery, as yet unnamed, will open in late summer. It's next to, and will be connected to Trailflo Bikes.
“Before I returned to Pittsburgh to open Cure, I spent several years cooking, making salumi and biking in northern California,” Severino said in a statement. “The café is my love letter to the food and culture I encountered there. I’m going for a casual, brunchy, everyday kind of vibe. That means lots of fresh ingredients and lots of tortillas.”

According to a press release, the menu will be separated into pre-ride and post-ride sections. the pre-ride will emphasize healty food such as salads and smoothies. The post-ride will have heavier fare such as carnitas tortas, ribs, chicken wings and burritos.
The restaurant will have indoor and outdoor seating for 50.
