McCANDLESS, PA - Embattled McCandless police chief David DiSanti has been suspended without pay following accusations of inappropriate behavior toward a female officer.
DiSanti will remain off the job until he agrees to a corrective action plan that township officials have yet to devise. He had been on paid leave since October while the township conducted an investigation, and he received a vote of no confidence from the McCandless Police Officer's Association in December.
DiSanti repeatedly has denied any wrongdoing. His attorney, Tim O’Brien, issued a statement Tuesday on his behalf.
