Most of Former Ross Restaurant Demolished
A new restaurant will be built on the site and is expected to open in November.
A large crane made short work of more than half of the former Sunseri's Restaurant at 3385 Babcock Boulevard in Ross Thursday morning. (See video).
North Park Lounge owner Mark Baranowski plans to rebuild the portion of the building below the flood plain and reopen a new restaurant called Rum Runners Saloon.
Construction should begin in a few weeks, and Baranowski hopes to be open by November 1.
The restaurant's menu will be similar to the original North Park Lounge, featuring a wide variety of sandwiches, some entrees, and plenty of appetizers and munchies.
It will also feature entertainment, similar to its predecessor, Jergel's.
