Patch Boards: An Easy Way to Instantly Connect with Your North Allegheny Neighbors

One of the new features on Patch is "Boards."

Located at the top center of the North Allegheny Patch home page, the "Boards" enable you to make an announcement, speak your mind, or sell something.

On the "All Boards" page, you can check out the latest posts from your neighbors or Patch local editor Richard Cook. You can also select a specific board, depending on what interests you:

• On the "Announcements" Board, you'll see posts such as lost cats and dogs, school plays, wedding announcements or a photo of that gorgeous sunset. You'll also see announcements such as this one for a summer learning program. 

• The "Buy, Sell, Trade" Board works just like a newspaper classifieds section. It's a great way to find what you want locally, such as this kitchen and dining room furniture. 
  
  
• The "Business Updates" Board provides local shop owners with a chance to reach out to customers, telling them about specials or store hour changes. Just add a new dish to your restaurant's menu? Let everyone know here!

• The "Speak Out" Board gives your voice a forum.  Disagree with your neighbor? Don't just stew over it; write about it. You can also engage your neighbors -- like I did when trying to find out about a crazy little bird which kept trying to fly through the closed window of my house.
