UPMC Passavant-McCandless Gets New President

Susan Hoolahan has been with UPMC since 1981.

McCANDLESS, PA - Susan Hoolahan has been named president of UPMC Passavant hospitals in McCandless and Cranberry effective Feb. 1. She succeeds David Martin, who as senior vice president, UPMC Health Services Division, and market president of UPMC’s Central Region, now oversees UPMC’s growth and expansion across central Pennsylvania.

Hoolahan started her career at UPMC in 1981 as a staff nurse at UPMC Shadyside. Her most recent role was chief nursing officer and vice president of operations and patient care services at UPMC Passavant.

“Throughout her career in health care, Susan has been a long-time instrumental leader — fully committed to patient-centered care and providing an outstanding experience for our patients and staff,” Leslie C. Davis, senior vice president, UPMC, and executive vice president and chief operating officer, UPMC Health Services Division, said in a statement..

Said Hoolahan: “I am honored to lead this hospital as we continue to demonstrate our commitment to the people from the northern suburbs of Pittsburgh who choose us and rely on us.”
