Arts Alive Event Features North Hills Students' Work
The annual program, which is free and open to the community, celebrates the creative accomplishments of students in kindergarten through high school.

The will host its 40th annual Arts Alive program from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, May 4, at the senior high school, 53 Rochester Road in Ross Township.
The annual program, which is free and open to the community, celebrates the creative accomplishments of students in kindergarten through high school.
The event features student work from a variety of mediums such as pottery, paintings, drawings, sculpture, photographs, school publications, writing projects as well as student work from the technology education department. In addition, several choral and instrumental performances will take place throughout the evening.

“Arts Alive is a celebration of our students’ talents and creativity,” said .
“This annual event provides an excellent opportunity for our community to experience the many opportunities available within the North Hills School District.”

Some artwork, including a limited number of additional pottery pieces, will be available for purchase. Food booths, sponsored by the World Language Department, will offer several dining options in the school’s cafeteria.
In addition, the North Hills’ Educational Support Personnel Association will be collecting donations for the district’s Backpack Initiative, which provides weekend food supplies to students in need.
Single-serving, individually packaged items are preferred for the following items: snack crackers, sandwich crackers, raisins, fruit cups, microwave popcorn, applesauce, single-serving cereals, granola and cereal bars, hearty soups, canned pasta meals as well as boxed macaroni and cheese.
Those who wish to make a monetary donation can make checks payable to North Hills Foundation and include “Backpack Initiative” in the memo.
