Babcock-Peoples Lane Restriction To Last Months

Find out here how long lane restrictions will be in place at the heavily traveled intersection.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - Prepare for some Babcock Boulevard traffic headaches. Babcock will be reduced to a single lane controlled by a temporary traffic signal at the intersection with Peoples Road beginning June 25.

The lane restriction is necessary so crews can continue culvert replacement work at the Babcock-Peoples intersection. At 7 a.m. on Tuesday, crews will transition the westbound section of Babcock approaching the intersection to a single-lane lane carrying bi-directional traffic. Peoples Road approaching the intersection will return to a single lane in each direction. The spur ramp from Peoples to Babcock will remain closed. All movements will be permitted at the intersection.

Flaggers will assist motorists through the intersection on Tuesday while temporary traffic signals are implemented. The configuration will remain in place through the end of November.
