ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - The search for the best marbles player in Allegheny County - and potentially the country - begins March 11 at The Block Northway.

The Allegheny County Parks and Recreation department will hold qualifying week-long tournaments for children up to 14 years old. The winners of the tournaments will receive an Allegheny County Marbles Champ T-shirt, marbles and marbles shooting rules.

Winners will participate in the countywide marbles tournament to be held in the Allegheny County Courthouse courtyard, Downtown, in May. Winners of the county tournament, two boys and two girls, will receive an all-expense paid trip to Wildwood, NJ, to compete in the National Marbles Tournament in June.
