Duquesne Light Scammers Active In Ross: Police
Police are cautioning residents not to fall for the scam.
ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - Township police are receiving calls from residents who have been contacted via phone by scammers claiming to be Duquesne Light representatives. According to police, the scammers request account and banking information.
Duquesne Light had advised that it never contacts customers by phone regarding account matters. Any questions about a call like this that is received can be addressed by Duquense Light, according to the police department Facebook page.
Police are advising residents to talk to their elderly relatives and friends regarding the scam as the often are specific targets.
