Fairfield Inn & Suites Pittsburgh North/McCandless Hosted Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting

The new Fairfield Inn & Suites Pittsburgh North/McCandless opened on May 16, 2017. Centrally located in McCandless Crossing, the hotel hosted a grand opening and ribbon cutting event on June 20th with an additional celebration on June 21st. Both events showcased the Fairfield’s beautifully appointed lobby and flexible workspaces as well as the tranquil outdoor patio, spacious and modern guest rooms and suites, plus the expansive, fully equipped fitness center.

Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber facilitated the ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, June 20th at 4:30 p.m. followed by a ‘Sweet Days of Summer’ themed event with hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and tours of the hotel and its amenities. Food, refreshments and activities were provided by neighboring businesses in the McCandless Crossing development.

Longhorn Steakhouse provided a menu featuring such as Grilled Four Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms, Red Rock Grilled Shrimp and Parmesan Crusted Chicken, as well as other favorites. Burgatory, Chipotle and Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream & Yogurt also participated with mini milkshakes, chips and salsa and other summer-themed foods.

Business partners, investors and owners were all in attendance at the June 20th ribbon cutting event. A second grand opening celebration was held the following evening, Wednesday, June 21st, 4:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. for community members, partners and corporate clientele.

The six floor, 109 room hotel offers free Wi-Fi, 750 sq. ft. fitness center, full service business center, complimentary breakfast and convenient access to a variety of shops, restaurants, grocery store, pharmacy and entertainment venues.
