Instrumental Music Students Receive Regional and State Recognition

Six instrumental students were selected to participate in the Pittsburgh Symphony's Side-by-Side Concert, where they'll perform beside a member of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.

Numerous students in the North Hills School District have been selected by application or competitive audition to participate in various honors bands and orchestras.

In addition, six instrumental students were selected to participate in the Pittsburgh Symphony’s Side-by-Side Concert, having the opportunity to rehearse with resident conductor Thomas Hong for a week and to perform beside a member of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.

Under the direction of music teacher Len Lavelle, students range from grade 9 to grade 12.
