Lunar New Year 2018: Ross Park Mall To Mark Year Of The Dog
Free fortune cookies are part of the festivities.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - Ross Park Mall is observing the Chinese New Year, also called the Lunar New Year, with Asian-themed seating areas and colorful Chinese decor in the mall’s center court. Mall visitors also can stop by the guest services area for a free fortune cookie.
In honor of Pittsburgh’s Chinese community, the mall also will host a special Lunar New Year celebration Feb. 18 at 2:30 p.m. in the center court. Attendees will be treated to a colorful performance by the Pittsburgh Chinese Joy Dance group and a lion dance by The Steel Dragon.
The festivities will help to ring in the Year of the Dog. According to the 12-year-cycle of animals in the Chinese Zodiac, those born in the Year of the Dog are known for steadfast loyalty to family, friends, and work. They are honest, just, popular, and like to help others fix their own bad habits.
