Man Charged With Fraud For Allegedly Duping Ross Homeowners

The alleged scam involved taking money for work not performed.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA -A man posing as a contractor for a local landscaping company allegedly took $6,000 from two Ross homeowners than failed to provide the work he promised. Tommy Voorhis was hired to build a retaining wall but never did the job.

Police said Voorhis allegedly told the homeowners he worked for a reputable landscaping business in Ross, but he was fired four months ago, WPXI-TV reported.
