ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - North Hills motorists once again can expect delays and difficulties difficult getting Downtown on the Parkway North this weekend. Paving work will result in lane restrictions from Friday evening until Monday morning.

  • Southbound I-279 will be reduced to a single-lane in the three-lane section between the Venture Street and the North Shore exits for the entire weekend for paving.
  • A single-lane restriction will occur in the two-lane section of southbound I-279 between the Venture Street and North Shore exits for the entire weekend for paving.
  • The East Street off-ramp from southbound I-279 will close to traffic from 7 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Saturday for paving. Traffic will be detoured.
  • The Venture Street on-ramp to southbound I-279 will close to traffic from 7 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Saturday for paving. Traffic will be detoured.

The work is part of an $88 million parkway improvement project that is focused on the southbound lanes this year. Work on the northbound lanes will occur next year.
