North Hills School District Annual Pep Rally Scheduled
Community event to help kick off the school year, aid the needy.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - You can simultaneously help the needy and show your support for North Hills School District sports teams at the district’s annual community pep rally. This year’s rally will occur Aug. 21 at 7 p.m. at Martorelli Stadium.
The 2017 fall varsity girls’ and boys’ soccer, football, golf, girls’ volleyball, cross country, girls’ tennis, slow pitch softball, ice hockey and inline roller hockey teams will be introduced. Another highlight will be performance by the North Hills marching band and cheerleaders.
The district is inviting all youth community sports teams to attend the rally and sport their team jerseys. The event is free, although district booster and parent organizations will sell refreshments and North Hills attire.

Attendees are encouraged to bring items for the North Hills Backpack Initiative and The Pantry. Both programs directly support district students in need.

Suggested donations include single-serving and individually packaged food items such as oatmeal, pudding, crackers and snack items, fruit cups, single-serving cereals, granola and cereal bars; hearty soups, canned pasta meals, tuna and boxed macaroni and cheese and toiletry items such as deodorant, acne and face care products, soap and body wash, laundry detergent, lip balm and dental care items.
