“It’s important for our singers to see other ensembles, so that they can experience varieties of musical styles and performance practices,” said Shaun Cloonan, North Hills choral director.

“We have the chance to discuss and analyze what we’ve heard when we return, and that helps us to become better at what we do. It’s truly a great learning experience.”

The North Hills Singers participated in a similar festival at Pine-Richland in November.

An auditioned ensemble that performs a wide variety of music, the North Hills Singers are featured at each high school choral concert as well as out in the North Hills community—performing for senior citizen centers, church and business organizations, and at school district functions. The group rehearses twice weekly after school, and are also featured in the Choir Cabaret performed in April, and during Arts Alive in early May.
