North Park Ice Rink to Host Valentine's Day Celebration

If you are looking for something to do on Valentine’s Day, the Allegheny County Department of Parks announced Valentine’s Day celebrations at local ice rinks.

The North Park and South Park ice rinks will be hosting Valentine’s Day celebrations on Saturday, Feb. 14. Session times at both rinks include: 11 a.m. - 4p.m., 4:30 p.m. - 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. - 10 p.m.

According to the Parks Department, Valentine’s Day specials include:

• Buy one full-price admission, get second admission of equal or lesser value for free
• Free Valentine tri-color leis for all skaters, while supplies last
• Free commemorative photo booth for all skaters from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Additionally, at each rink, skaters 18 years and up can register to win a couple’s gift basket. According to the Parks Department, the prize gift baskets include:

• Overnight stay for two with breakfast at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown
• Gift certificate from The Capital Grille (North Park ice rink) or Monterey Bay Fish Grotto (South Park ice rink)
• Two tickets to Cinemark North Hills & XD at McCandless Crossing (North Park ice rink) or Carmike 10 Cinemas at South Hills Village (South Park ice rink)
• Two tickets to the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium
• Two tickets to the Boyce Park Snowtubing Area
• Two tours of the Hartwood Acres Mansion
