Opioid Epidemic To Be The Topic Of Town Hall Meeting
The event will occur next month at North Hills Middle School.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - A town hall meeting to address the ongoing opioid crisis will be held next month at North Hills Middle School.. Presented by the North Hills School District, Ross and West View police departments and District Judge Richard Opiela, the meeting to discuss warning signs, prevention and treatment will occur March 19 at 7 p.m.
Among those speaking will be Dr. C. Thomas Brophy, a board certified specialist in addiction medicine and emergency medicine; Brian Dempsey with the Drug Enforcement Administration; Philip Little with the state Attorney General’s Office, West View Police Chief Bruce Fromlak and Ross Township Police Chief Joseph Ley.
Also planned are 20-minute breakout sessions on student activities and pain management, a parent’s perspective and community action.

Doors will open and informational tables from local support and resource organizations will be available at 6:30 p.m. Attendees are welcome to stay for an informal question and answer session with light refreshments at 9 p.m. The event is recommended for those age 12 and older.
