Parkway North HOV Lanes To Experience Closures

PITTSBURGH, PA - The Parkway North HOV lanes will experience closures Oct. 16 and 17, weather permitting, for the installation and testing of the wrong-way detection system

According to PennDOT, the lanes will close at approximately 9 a.m. Wednesday and will remain closed until the Penguins game ends. The HOV lanes will remain in the outbound mode for the rest of the night.

On Oct. 17, the lanes open to inbound traffic per normal operations at approximately 6 a.m. The HOV lanes will close to traffic from approximately 9 a.m. to the end of the Bob Seger concert at PPG Paints arena.

Normal operations are anticipated to occur once the HOV lanes reopen.
