Pittsburgh-Area Woman Claims Priest Raped Her
The alleged victim has filed a lawsuit against the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - A Ross woman has filed a lawsuit against the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh claiming she was raped by a visiting priest in 2016. The alleged assault occurred in the woman's home.
The priest had been assigned to St. Teresa of Avila parish in Ross.
Kathy Coll, a retired teacher, told KDKA-TV the attack happened when the former priest. Cyprian Duru, delivered a Christmas card to her home. The alleged assault occurred in her basement.

Duru, who was not criminally charged, is from Nigeria. The lawsuit alleges the diocese knew or should have known about different celibacy standards there and is seeking damages.
