One Person Killed, Undercover Agent Wounded In Ross Shootout
The incident happened at a McKnight Road shopping center.
ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - An undercover agent was shot and a suspect killed Tuesday in a shootout at a shopping center containing a Big Lots store at 4721 McKnight Road. The agent from the state Attorney General's Office was shot during a narcotics sting. He was taken to Allegheny General Hospital.
Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro's office released this statement Tuesday afternoon:
"The OAG officer involved in today's shooting was shot twice and is in stable condition with no life-threatening injuries. This incident occurred during an operation by our Bureau of Narcotics Investigations. The attorney general plans to travel to Allegheny County to visit with the officer and his family."
