QB Dan Marino Greets Pittsburgh Hoops Player On FL College Court
The Pittsburgh native and Hall of Fame quarterback made sure he met North Hills High School graduate Nick Smith.
PITTSBURGH, PA - Dan Marino has lived in Florida for decades, but the Pittsburgh native and Hall of Fame quarterback still has an affinity for his hometown.
Marino attended a basketball game at Nova Southeastern University Wednesday when he learned that starting guard Nick Smith hailed from the Steel City. Smith is a 2017 North Hills High School graduate.
KDKA-TV reported that Marino went courtside before the start of the second half, called out Smith’s name. The two shook hands and exchanged pleasantries for a few seconds before play resumed.
