Reis Run Road Landslide Repairs Finally Set To Start
The landslide occurred in May..
ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - For nearly five months, debris from a landslide has inconvenienced motorists traveling on Reis Run Road. But PennDOT has begun site preparation work for a landslide repair project expected to begin on Oct. 14.
The roadway will remain closed to traffic at the slide location during the work. Through traffic will continue to be detoured as follows:
East of the slide

- Follow Reis Run Road to Rochester Road.
- Take Rochester Road northbound back to Reis Run Road.
- End detour.
West of the slide
- Same detour in the opposite direction.
The roadway has been closed to traffic since May 31 due to the slide from a private property. PennDOT has worked with the property owner and other entities in an effort to gain access to the property for repairs and gained legal right of entry on Oct. 9.
