AÂ U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development grant awarded to the township from the 2009 federal budget is funding the work. The grant money, $142,500, was awarded instead of the $1 million the township requested for more comprehensive improvements to the Perrysville business area.Â
Gazdik told the Perrysville Business Assocation last summer that the repairs being performed this week are the best use of the money that the government allocated.
