ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - Ross Park Mall is a regional attraction largely because of the upscale national chains with stores there. But that doesn't mean there's no room at the mall for local retailers.

A trio of Pittsburgh-based entities already have or soon will occupy mall storefronts. Look Eye Care and Rosie's Workshop already are open and Threadbare Cider House & Meadery will be in the near future.

“We are thrilled to feature growing Pittsburgh concepts at Ross Park Mall,” Tyler Andrews, the mall's director of marketing and business development, said in a statement. “The mall is a ‘city within a city,’ and we want to feature the concepts that make the city of Pittsburgh so unique.”

Threadbare Cider House & Meadery has quickly become a Pittsburgh favorite, from the people that create the award-winning Wigle Whiskey, which also has space in the mall. They began making whiskey with local apple cider and now make bottle-conditioned, hopped, wild fermented and barrel-aged ciders.

Threadbare will be attached to the existing Wigle Whiskey location in the mall and is expected to open by the holidays. Wigle, meanwhile opens its new patio space at the mall on Aug. 2.

Rosie's Workshop is known for its handmade home décor and lighting crafted from repurposed cameras, instruments and other found objects. It's located on the upper level of the mall near Nordstrom, across from the Apple store.

Fashion-forward eyeglass retailer Look Eye Care offers all the top luxury brands--from Balenciaga to Gucci--for men, women and children. Look Eye Care will also sell its own brand of eyeglasses, Look Eyewear. This is their first location. Look is located on the upper level between lululemon and Nordstrom.
