Two men are believed to be involved in the break-ins, police said.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - The Pittsburgh and Ross police departments are investigating thefts from several vehicles - including the theft of a firearm - and a victim who was threatened with a firearm.

On April 24, Ross and Pittsburgh Zone 1 officers investigated a threat with a firearm on Cliffview Road in Brighton Heights, an area on the border of the two jurisdictions. A resident of the street told police he was outside when he saw a man running away from the end of his street. Because of recent vehicle break-ins, he attempted to stop the man, who then pointed a black semi-automatic handgun in the face as he ran toward Kleber Street.

According to police, numerous vehicles were entered and searched through on and around Cliffview Road. A black semi-automatic handgun was stolen from one of the cars.
