Ross Police Warn Of Possible Door-To-Door Scammers

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA - Police are warning residents of possible scammers and urging people to be on the lookout for two men who are soliciting in the township without a license. Wearing black pants and either black or yellow vests, the men have been reported in the township from the hours of 12 p.m. to 9 p.m., according to the police Facebook page.

Police have no information on what the men are soliciting for, but note there currently is only one active solicitation permit in the township and that is for Xfinity/Comcast.

The solicitors are operating a Maroon Nissan Sentra with Maryland Registration 4CH889. Anyone who sees the men is urged to call 911 so an officer can investigate.

Police remind residents that anyone soliciting door to door in Ross must obtain a permit display it and provide it to anyone they solicit who asks for it. Police advise calling 911 immediately if a solicitor refuses to provide it or states that they do not have one.
