Ross Woman Charged With Participating In Capitol Riot
Jennifer Heinl is the latest Pennsylvania resident charged with allegedly participating in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Captiol.
PITTSBURGH, PA — A Ross Township woman has been criminally charged with entering the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6 riot. Jennifer Heinl was arrested Thursday, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office in Pittsburgh.
According to KDKA Radio, Heinl has been charged with entering a restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds and parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building.
According to The Washington Post, more than 300 people face criminal charges related to the incident in which five people died and multiple police officers were assaulted.

Security measures have been heightened at the state Capitol since the riot, although the building has been closed to the general public since December because of the coronavirus outbreak.
