Smooth First Day of School in North Hills

The district reports few, if any problems, as more than 4,200 students resume classes.

The transition from summer vacation to school can be difficult, but so far so good as far as the superintendent of the is concerned.

"The 2012-13 school year started off very smoothly in North Hills School District," said said Dr. Patrick J. Mannarino, North Hills superintendent. "I credit this to our amazing teachers and staff who have an incredible dedication to educating our talented students."

Mannarino spent part of his day reading to students at and came away from the experience engerized.
