The Farewell Open Houses have begun at the Benedictine Sisters of Pittsburgh, a monastic community of women that has lived and served in Ross Township since about 1926.Â
The It will be about a third of the size of the 78,000-square-foot convent at 4530 Perrysville Ave.Â
Photograped above is Sister Kathleen Mack, the last principal at St. Benedict Academy, with Sister Bridget Reilly and alumnae at the first open house, which was March 31 for the St. Benedict Academy classes of 1970-1986.
