Time To Dive Into Summer At North Park Swimming Pool
The pool and splash park open for the season on Saturday.

It might be too chilly for most people to brave the water this weekend, but Allegheny County’s North Park swimming pool and spray park opens for the season on Saturday.
Admission rates this year are as follows: ages 5 and under, $1; ages 6-17, $5 for county residents, $6 for non-residents; ages 18-59, $6 for residents, $8 for non-residents; 60 and older, $3 for residents, $4 for non-residents.
Family passes for two parents and two children or one parent and three children, $150 for residents, $188 for non residents; pass for each additional family member, $20 for residents and $25 for non-residents; senior pass for those 60 and older $40 for residents, $50 for non-residents; individual pass for those between the ages of 18 and 59, $80 for residents, $100 for non-residents; lost or stolen replacement pass, $20 for residents, $25 for non-residents; active volunteer firefighter or volunteer EMT pass is free for residents and non-residents.

New at the pool this year are seven shade structures and 17 new benches. The pool will be open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 7 pm., weather conditions permitting. If the pool does not open by 2 p.m. due to inclement weather, it will remain closed for the remainder of the day.

- BOGAFiT – Saturdays & Sundays, June 10-Sept. 3, 8:30-9:30 a.m., $40 for single class, $175 for five classes, $300 for 10 classes, or $350 for a 14-class buddy pass. Register at www.puppylovesup.com/schedule.

- Preschool Aquatics (American Red Cross Levels 1-3) – Monday-Friday, July 24-Aug. 4, 9:00-9:45 a.m., ages 4-5, $25 for county residents and $31 for non-residents.
- Free Swimming Lessons (American Red Cross Levels 1-3) – Monday-Friday, July 24-Aug. 4, 10:00-10:45 a.m. or 11:00-11:45 a.m., ages 6 & older.
- Swimming Lessons (American Red Cross Level 4) – Monday-Friday, July 24-Aug. 4, 11:00-11:45 a.m., ages 6 & older, $25 for county residents and $31 for non-residents.
- Kids Boot Camp – Monday-Friday, July 24-Aug. 4, 12:00-12:45 p.m., ages 7-12, $30 for county residents and $38 for non-residents.
- Yoga Introduction – Mondays & Wednesdays, July 24-Aug. 2, 6:00-6:45 p.m., $20 for county residents and $25 for non-residents.
- Aqua Step ‘n’ Stretch – Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, July 25-Aug. 4, 5:00-5:45 p.m., $30 for county residents and $38 for non-residents.
- Aqua Soundtrack Sizzlers – Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, July 25-August 4, 6:00-6:45 p.m., $30 for county residents and $38 for non-residents.
- Aqua Fitness High-Intensity: “Chuck, Elvis, Steve & Tina” – Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays, July 25-August 4, 7:00-7:45 p.m., $30 for county residents and $38 for non-residents.
- Family Fun Day – Thursday, July 27, 1:00-3:00 p.m., regular pool admission fees apply.
- Pooches in the Pool – Monday, September 4, 4:00-6:00 p.m., $15 per dog. Each dog may be accompanied by up to two guardians. Additional attendees will be charged $5 per person.
