Wyndmoor actress dons feathers and wings in "Honk! Jr." at the Walnut Street Theatre

Samantha Deutsch plays multiple roles in the fun, hour-long production, now playing at the Walnut Street Theatre

Performances of the colorful and “quacky” musical, HONK! JR. will begin at Walnut Street Theatre later this month, featuring young talent from just outside the North Hills region.

HONK! JR. is based on the classic fairytale, The Ugly Duckling, and tells the story of Ugly, one odd looking baby duck that doesn't quite fit in. With the help of a whole flock of unique characters, Ugly sets off on a wild adventure where he soon learns to accept and love what makes him different.

Samantha Deutsch, from Wyndmoor, PA, plays the characters of Downy, Goose, and Mother Swan. She has also performed on the Walnut stage in Christmas Carol and Skippyjon Jones. Regionally she has performed in A Little Princess, The Secret Garden, and The Music Man.
