Wyndmoor Actress plays title role in "Flat Stanley"
Samantha Deutsch plays Stanley in "The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley Jr." at the Walnut Street Theatre.

The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley Jr. will come to life at the Walnut Street Theatre this April starring Samantha Deutsch, a young actress from the North Hills region.
Samantha Deutsch, a Wyndmoor resident and a student at the Germantown Friends School plays the lead role of Flat Stanley in the production – a role that involves her wearing a foam board “flat suit” for the majority of the production. She was most recently seen on stage at the Walnut in A Christmas Carol, Honk Jr, and Skippyjohn Jones and has performed regionally in A Little Princess, The Secret Garden, and The Music Man.
Audiences will embark on an extraordinary journey with The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley Jr. Packed with song-and-dance fun, exciting travel and new discoveries, this production is based on the popular children’s book series that has inspired countless kids, parents and teachers to mail Flat Stanley all over the world.

Stanley Lambchop is an ordinary ten-year-old who wishes his life was a little more exciting. One morning Stanley gets his wish and wakes up to find he is very, very flat. He decides to make the best of the situation as he's whisked away on a globe-trotting journey more exciting than he could ever have imagined.
The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley Jr. runs at the Walnut from March 31 – April 14. Tickets start at just $15!
