Doctor Wants to Build Heliport and Runway on His North Whitehall Property
North Whitehall Zoners will consider for a second time a request to build a heliport and airport runway near a home in an agricultural/residential neighborhood.

The North Whitehall Zoning Board will consider a request for special exception from Dr. Michael Selig, who wants to establish a private airport/heliport on his property at 5471 Rte. 309 in Schnecksville.
Dr. Selig approached the zoning board a couple months ago about the variance but was turned away because the board did not think Selig's plan was thorough enough. The property is zoned agricultural/residential and Selig needs the exception because the proposed runway would be less than 1,000 feet from a dwelling.
The zoning board meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 25 in the North Whitehall Township Building on Levans Road.
