LCCC to Offer Job Skills Training for Trades Careers for Fall 2017

Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) will provide current, quality skills training in the following areas for individuals wanting to learn a trade. These noncredit classes are offered on a rotational schedule during a semester and will be held at the college’s main campus in Schnecksville, unless noted otherwise.

Level I of Water Treatment Plant Operator is being held Tuesdays and Thursdays, Sept. 19 through Oct. 26, from 6 to 9 p.m. at LCCC’s main campus. Cost is $582.

Small Water System Operations will be held Mondays and Wednesdays, Oct 2 - 25, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the college’s main campus. Class fee is $470.

Welding I teaches basic skills in Shielded Metal Arch Welding (Stick) on steel and will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, Oct. 24 through Dec. 12, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Welder Training & Testing Institute in Allentown at a cost of $590. Students are required to wear proper attire, which includes work boots, straight-leg jeans, long-sleeve shirt, safety glasses, welding gloves, jacket and helmet. Water Distribution Systems is being held Tuesdays, Oct. 3 through Nov. 21, from 6 to 9 p.m. at LCCC’s main campus. Cost is $410.
