LCCC Offers Career Training for Florists and Personal Trainers in Fall 2017

Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) will offer a variety of certification and training for individuals wanting to learn about careers as a florist, personal trainer or event planner.

• Career as a Florist covers the basic floral, plant and sales knowledge, skills and techniques necessary to prepare for an entry-level position in the florist industry. Class is held at Michael Thomas Floral Design, 1825 Roth Avenue in Allentown, on Mondays, Oct. 2 through Nov. 27, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. for a fee of $230. A $30 materials fee per class is additional and payable to the instructor.
• Personal Trainer Certification combines lecture on biomechanics, exercise physiology, fitness testing, equipment usage and health assessment, along with hands-on practical training to students wanting to professionally master the position. Class will be held Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Oct. 10 through Nov. 15, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at LCCC’s main campus in Schnecksville. Cost is $865. Textbooks and e-books are additional. CPR/AED is required.
